It is time for a deep breath after a roller coaster year. I am looking onward and staying hopeful. I dig deep into my craft and my art and I find solace there. I have met, and continue to meet inspiring, kind people. I am grateful for being in Uganda and exploring this immensely beautiful part of the world. What I experience here, I speak through my art.

Being here has changed my practice. For one, first time in my 15 years of photography, I have not found a local printing partner ( I keep looking, and yes, its me, I am very specific when it comes to papers and printing) so I both thank you for the inquires and at the same time I apologise for not being able to send my images as I normally do. To compensate for this, I will be doing a POP UP later in the coming year of 2026!

What I have done instead, and I am glad of this sudden opportunity to pause my usual routine, is to learn more, take courses and make more pictures, explore and go deeper with all the possibilities that are there when I break and play with the idea of photography. I can see the path where this is going and I like it!

I hope the new year will be much more gentle, much more kinder, much more softer. Much more human.

And I hope, you too, will find your solace.

Happy New Year.
